Hip Hop Interview Question:
No doubt, no doubt. With the T.I. crime stoppers commercial do you still feel the same way after all has happened?
Mysonne Interview Question:
It's still the same thing with it (TI crime stoppers commercial). People say he doesn't want to goto jail and these are
the terms of his thing...but you have sold us an image. you sould us a trap star image. and then you go on TV and
do a crime stoppers commercial. I think that is a 100% contradiction to me. I mean that is a complete contradiction.
And i don't say this in an anal way because I was a T.I. fan. It was to the point he was one of the only artists I was
listening to.
So when he did that, I was getting clowned becasue people were like i thought that's your man. All
I could do is be like damn because he telling people to call the police now. How do you advocate you being a trap star
and a huslter but how do you advocate someone calling the police on another person?
Now this doesn't go for everybody,
everything is not for everybody. And i understand everything isn't for everybody. But when you profess to be somebody
and then fail to be who you say you are, then you don't have any morals. To me you're just fake. You sold me an actor
and I didn't goto the movies. Music to me is an expression of self, cause if your music isn't true to hwo you are, i can't
connect wiht you.
Some people can separate the music from the entertainment artist but i am not good with that. You know, i think when you
speak or you talk (in music) it should be who yo uare becaause you have fans and kids that listen. The fans are getting
in tune with you as an artist and they want to know where you're from, what you've done, and more.
Ijust think a lo of these artists like to talk a lot of stuff but nto ready to face the reality. I was faced with a
similar situation but I dealt with it. A lot of people may have turned the other way but
When you profess to be something or participate in a lifestyle or code then you know what comes with that code. If you
go against that code, to me all stripes are lost. Even the glory you had while you were living that, you have to suffer
the repercussions. He's a snitch and i don't care what anybody says.
Hip Hop Interview Question:
Yeah, i'd definitely have to agree with you for some of that. I think you have to be careful how you mislead people in
general.
Mysonne Interview Question:
Exactly, The thing is people get confused with street life is when you in the so-called street lifethat the people want
to live it. But the truth is, the people that actually live a street life or gangster life don't want to live it. Most
people would rather do somethin else and they give that message in their music.
Example is Jeezy. He tells you about the crazy stuff but he tells you why he did. He tells you hwo he wishes he didn't have to do that. So does
jay z. so to glorify the street life without giving the pros and cons and ups and downs to me is stupidity. So I believe
and respect anyone that makes a decision and is willing to deal with the consequences.
Hip Hop Interview Question:
Going more into your life as well. I heard in a song you said you did the time but didn't do the crime. What exactly
happened in the situation and why was that?
Mysonne Interview Question:
Well, i was convicted of armed robbery which i didn't commit and umm. I went to trial.
When you're young and innocent, you think you can't goto jail. The reality is that isn't always the situation.
With my case they were pro-conviction. So while i'm down in Miami, laughing it up and drinking thinking they can't
convict me being innocent, they were perparing a case. I'm thinking I aint rob nobody, I'm not going to jail but that's
not the reality of the situation.
So i'm feeling prepared, thinking they can't prove this; Like how are they going
to win the case but somehow they convinced the judge. But I think of it as Karma.... I did things in life.
The thing about life is your never get away with things. Karma catches up to you all the time. So i take
full responsibility for what was dealt on my end and dealed with it.
