He Loves Me LIke His Js

Love Poems
He loves me like his Jordans
He saw them in a magazine
He knew he had to have them
But J’s ain’t cheap
And he would have to wait for them
So he put in some extra hours
Saved up all his cash
Put away the old retros
Bought a new fitted
And a couple shirts to match
Only a couple days
And he’d be emptying out his stash
Markin off his calendar
The release date was almost here
So he set his alarm clock
When the store opened he was there
He got his hands on the box
And got a smile on his face
Thinkin bout steppin out
Being the freshest in the place
He’s livin in the moment
With new shoes on his feet!
Then puts them back in the box
Unsure of the next time they’ll meet
He wore them a couple times
But they soon lost their appeal
It’s like everybody has them
And he don’t like the way they feel
They were hot when he saw them
But he’s not so sure anymore
So he sits them on the shelf
Collecting dust behind the door
Maybe he’ll sell them to a friend
Or auction them online
He liked them when he saw them
But he didn’t really wanna take the time
To make sure they didn’t get scuffed
And try not to wrinkle the toe
Didn’t think about the work it took
To keep them lookin new
All purchases aren’t permanent
$200 was a little too much…
He needs that money back
Cuz new ones come out next month!
