Throwback Jersey Hip Hop Trends:
"Throwback Jersey"

The Hip Hop trends wave landed on the Throwback Jersey, market thanks to rapper Fabolous. In 2001, the new rapper broke onto the scene in cousin Lil Mo's Superwoman Part II music video. His flamboyant style captured the eyes of the streets and launched a trend that lasted 2 or 3 years.

This was possibly the biggest Hip Hop trend of the decade by all Hip Hop artists. Each jersey ranging in price from $130 to $500, stores such as Distant Replays in Altanta and Jersey Joe's in New Jersey locked metropolitan markets down.

Officially ending around 2004, the throwback jersey trend saw resurrection attempts in 2009 but no other artist has revived jerseys since.
