New Songs: Common vs Drake, Stay Scheming, & Official Vote
New songs have been made of the new single "Stay Scheming" released about a week ago. None of those remixes however have caught the Hip Hop world's attention like Chicago rapper Common's version. Going at the star of Young Money / Cash Money, Drake, the Hip Hop icon goes off. "This battle is exciting. Common is getting real 'Chicago' on Drake and it's a test of how crafty the not-so-street guy can get. In Hip Hop it's all about word play and delivery, and with no real street credibility like Common, for Drake to pull it out would be Tim Tebow 3:16-ish," messaged YouTube Hip Hop music artist, C.KHiD. Not many are sure where the beef between rappers Common & Drake originated. The first recorded diss was "Sweet", a song by Common talking about rappers always singing & making hoe music. Drake took it to offense, though he was not addressed in the record, and fired back at during a live performance. After the first two shots, Common clarified on BET's 106 & Park Drake is one of the music artists he includes in the 'hoe music' genre. Since, Drake has been quiet until new song "Stay Scheming", where he spews some manly lines. "Its feeling like rap changed, there was a time it was rugged // Back when if a nigga reached it was for the weapon // Nowadays niggas reach just to sell they record," said Drake on the new song 'Stay Schemin'. Common's reply rap verse came almost instantly, tearing through the web's Pop Music and Hip Hop blogs. Thirsty for 'rap beef' to come back, the media has all eyes on the two after Common's venomous reply. A challenge to Drake's credibility, some crafty Hip Hop lyrics were spat. "Everybody know you sweet, what the problem is / Don't play dumb, I'm the one that acknowledged it / Son of a bitch, I imagine what your father is / She said, How you make your opponent / Rapper of the moment, his style he don't own it / Acting all hard when he hardly like that / Mess around and make me catch a body like that / Don't do it 'cause every song you make is really hoe music / I heard you said wasn't a bitch 'cause you sing, you a bitch 'cause you cling like a bitch that's 18 / Can't say my name, but rap about n****'s wife / You show black and white tryna live a n****s' life / I'm taking too long with this amateur guy / You ain't wetting nobody n****, you Canada Dry," recited Chicago Hip Hop legend, Common.
