NFL team owner and somewhat of a recent Pop Culture sensation, Robert Kraft, has a decision to make. The boss of the championship New England Patriots will have to enter his plea at his next court visit, March 28th. Kraft can have his prostitution charges from the Florida massage & sauna parlor visit dropped by pleading ‘maybe guilty.’
According to CNBC, the Patriot’s owner does not have to plead guilty at his trial. He simply has to accept a mid-way bargaining plea that he ‘may have’ done wrong in is visit to be serviced by Asian prostitutes.
Kraft, who has a net worth of $6.6-billion-dollars was allegedly caught on camera soliciting female prostitutes in the Orchids of Asia Day Spa. Spying was done by recording equipment set up in a tactical ruse by the Jupiter Police Department done earlier that month. It was set up after the Florida Law Enforcement group noticed the spa being mentioned as a prostitute haven on website, RubMap.com.
How Did The Spa No Get Busted Sooner?
The Orchids of Asia Spa advertised their business differently than what was actually going. According to window advertisements (see photo above), they offered 5 types of work. Message therapy, table shower, body treatments, facial treatments, and waxing. There are infrared sauna reviews online speaking very highly about the business. These are all images which are painted very differently in police reports.
Had people not be online bragging about their exploits at the business, Jupiter Police never would have known about the part-time brothel. The owners, Hua Wang and Lei Wang, kept things very private.
Were others charged for prostitution solicitation as well?
Apparently many men visited the business and for more than sweating out skin toxins in the infrared saunas. Police say they observed 80 men enter the facility in one week of November, alone. Therefore it’s safe to say, a lot of people will be fighting this case. However, without their cases being broadcasted as Kraft’s situation, their plea offerings will probably be different.
Supposedly men went there for a $70 back massage. After the back was worked out, their genitals were rubbed until the men climaxed.
What will Robert Kraft choose?
With the Patriot’s owner being a multi-billionaire, it’s likely this case will fade away. It’s highly unlikely he can or will be charged with Human trafficking. No man who entered the building knew the women were anything beyond prostitutes working at a massage parlor. As well, many of these women come from cultures where this type of ‘work’ is a normal career choice.
Kraft will be in court again in 8 days to announce his choice.
