Lil Wayne & Wiz Khalifa Challenged, Yelawolf (@Yelawolf) Gets Slumerican Face Tattoo
Rappers Lil Wayne, Birdman, Wiz Khalifa, Tyga, Gucci Mane, Pharrell Williams, and even 50 Cent have been noted for their tattoos. Most of Hip-Hop is inked actually, excluding the king of rap, Jay-Z. Eminem's new rap star from the south, Yelawolf decided to make headlines this week by getting facial ink and it's officially on CKHiD's list of Top 10 best rap tats in 2012. Currently embarked on on his current tour, rapper Yelawolf already had standout tattoos on his arms and chest. Rapping in cut off sleeves, tank tops, or no shirt at all most shows, fans got to catch glimpse of Yela's skin art. However, his latest tattoos are to be seen by the world, as he got "Slumerican" tattooed on his forehead. Located right beneath his hairline, Yelawolf's Slumerican tattoo is quite unique in Hip-Hop. Wiz Khalifa has a music note, stars, and what looks to read 'OJ' just above his eyebrows. Gucci Mane has an Ice Cream cone with 2 scoops inked on his face. Soulja Boy has "SODMG" above his eye brows. The least tattooed in rap music would include one of Hip-Hop's all-time best sellers, Jay-Z. Also, southern rap star T.I., had no tattoos before turning age 30. Tattoos have become almost synonymous with Hip-Hop and the world's bad-boy image. Rappers and record labels have begun using the tattoo activity as a marketing tool. Ink work became increasingly popular in the 2000's rap generations, which heavily influenced pop culture trends.
