African country, Libya, is finding the hard way the turmoil amongst its citizens was not
caused by Muammar Gadhafi. After ruling f the now-chaotic country for 40 years, a group of
gun-fueld rebels killed the former leader. The interim government's spokesman, said today
they captured Gadhafi's spokesman in an attempt to smother sizzling issues, but it failed.
Almost as soon as the Libyan government could issue a statement saying they captured
Gadhafi's spokesperson, Moussa Ibrahi, it was denied. He allegedly took to the internet to
release a recording, denying his capture by the Libyan officials.
The country's issues get more embroiled by the week. This does not help because distrust for
the new governing group are becoming more apparent.
Rumors are now running rampid amongst the Libyans that Muammar Gadhafi was slandered through
powerful propaganda tools. In fact, some are saying he was killed before he could unveil a plan
to start giving citizens of the country precious gold metal coin currency. The idea would essentially
make those in the country & other African countries more wealthy than any others worldwide.
No one has been able to determine where most of these rumors are coming from. However, it has
become apparent Libya is in control of a very healthy oil supply. It produces barrells of
oil daily at levels that match Algeria, Kazakhstan, & the United Kingdom.
Much of the tension in Libya is over the city Bani World. The smaller metropolis is about
90 miles east of Tripoli, the last major city overtaken by the rebellion. According to
Yahoo! news,
it's still standing because of it's location. It's in a valley near the foot of Libyan mountains.
"I don't think things are really moving in the right direction until we finish with
Bani Walid because it is stopping us from making a new Libya," stated Abdel-Basit al-Mzirig,
a former deputy justice minister and now on Libya's human rights council.
For some rebels, who relied on Hashish while fighting Gadhafi's army, the new Libya can not be
created until all cities are defeated.
Muammar Gadhafi rebelled against many Western world ways, believing his
country should remain pure and far from UN influences. He survived assasination attempts,
US Air Strikes, and years of United Nation sanctions only to be killed by his own people. The
soldiers to kill him were given weapons by factions of the US government.
According to ABCNews,
Gadhafi's death was announced by Barrack Obama, after the Libyan ruler died in the streets of Libya on October 20, 2011.
