Rising Hip Hop music talent, Jelal Edmonds aka Lazy J, will have much to write about in coming
tunes. Unlike America's rap scene, Australia's urban crowd has not been noted for violence.
The lyrical talent, discovered from TV show 'The X Factor', is changing that world view however.
Spreading his brand in Sydney, Lazy J was performing downtown. The
entertainer completed a show at Club Sin with fellow Australian rap artist, Big Guy.
Fans were said to be excited to see the X-factor star and he gave a great show
At some point around midnight, Edmonds and a friend got into a brief argument with two other men.
The dispute continued outside Sydney's Club Sin. Upon exiting the club doors however,
things went spiraling out of control. A team brawl broke out between the four men.
The two unknown men fighting with Lazy J, age 21 and 22, were carrying a weapon. One
brandished a knife and stabbed the X-factor contestant. The sharp object pierced the rap singers
stomach. Luckily security guards reached the 4 at this point of the scuffle, stopping possible
life-threatening cuts or injury.
In critical condition at St. Vincent's hospital currently, Lazy J is expected to make a recovery.
The two men he fought with on the Oxford & South Dowling street crossing, were arrested and
booked. They have since been released on bail. There court hearing is scheduled for next month.
New songs from Jelal Edmonds aka Lazy J is coming soon. The rapper's last hit, released in
August 2012, was a smash hit amongst X-factor fans.
