Jeremy Lin's 2012 season could not have been greater. After an amazing win-streak, fueling
Asian pride worldwide, and scoring nearly 40 points on Kobe Bryant, the tributes continue.
While the New York Knick's superstar has not officially named a "Jeremy Lin" sneaker, Ben & Jerry
ice cream released a tribute flavor, Lin-Sanity.
"Jeremy Lin and the whole Lin-Sanity story reminds me of song Yeah Yeah and the whole C-K-H-i-D
movement. All those following know the code is 'Cannot Kill How Im Dreaming' and Jeremy Lin is
a testomonial that all things we persue are possible," says rapper & entrepreneur C.KHiD.
The new Jeremy Lin flavor, Taste the Lin-sanity Ice Cream, hit a Harvard Square location in
Boston, Massachussets today. The honey-swirl ice cream originally had fortune cookies mixed into the
blend. However, since a backlash of bad press for choosing fortune cookies, Ben & Jerry's has
since changed the ice cream topping to waffle cone.
"We are proud and honored to have Jeremy Lin hail from one of our fine, local universities
and we are huge sports fans," said Ben & Jerry's represenative of Jeremy Lin.
"Our intention was to create a flavor to honor Jeremy Lin's accomplishments and
his meteoric rise in the NBA, and recognize that he was a local Harvard graduate."
