2011 NBA Finals Teams Locked In: Miami Heat vs Dallas Mavs
NBA Finals set: Miami Heat take on the Dallas Mavericks Besides American Airlines, who will win? The NBA Finals are set This year's series features a rematch of the 2006 NBA Championship between the Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks. The teams in this year's NBA Finals couldn't be more convincing. Both teams are equipped with championship players: The Heat with LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh; and the Mavs have Jason Terry, Shawn Marion, Dominique Jones, Jason Kidd, and of course Dirk Nowitzki. Also, both of these veteran teams topped younger teams in their Conference Finals series' 4-1. So, the big question is, who will come out the winner? American Airlines. The 2011 NBA Finals will be known as another American Airlines series. The Mavericks play in the American Airlines Center, and the Heat compete in the American Airlines Arena. But that's besides the point. This series will be a toss-up. While the Mavs have only lost one game in their last two series', the Heat have lost just two. Dirk has been lights out on the floor, scoring 40 points or more in two games in the 4-1 win over the Thunder, but LeBron has been a fourth-quarter clutch shooter in the series with the Bulls. Not to mention LeBron's tremendous defense on the Bulls' MVP Rose. The series' key match-up will be the Heat's defense v. Dirk. If the Heat defense shut down Dirk, the Heat will win in six. If Dirk goes drain-o over and over again, the Mavs will win in seven.
