New Rap Songs 2011 released by rapper C.KHiD will be on Def Jam Records. The rapper that brought
YouTube hits 'Yeah Yeah' and 'I want This World', has officially signed to the music label for
a reported $10 million dollars, shattering all previous records set by artist.
Independently selling thousands of mp3 singles and generating over 7 million video plays
to music videos, C.KHiD was already grossing career figures from YouTube and iTunes. Passing on
previous deals, the rapper looked to gross $1 million for the Hip Hop 2011 year independent, but
changed his mind after Def Jam unfolded an earthquake-like check.
"Def Jam Records surprised me with this offer. I'm making good money as an independent rap artist
by myself so I was in no rush." said C.KHiD about the multi-million dollar deal. "When you see a
$10 million dollar check just to sign and continue expanding, you cant walk away."
Def Jam Records has a plethora of talent currently on its roster. C.KHiD will join the pool of
talented entertainers that includes Big Sean, Big KRIT, Kanye West, Khalil, Jay Z, Ne-Yo,
The Dream, fellow YouTube star Wax, Young Jeezy, and more.
