This past week has been anticipated by fans everywhere for months. November 4th, Lil’ Wayne was released from
Ricker’s Island Prison in New York City.
Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, has been in prison for 8 months for being charge with the criminal
possession of a weapon. Some rumors were circulating suggesting the rapper would have to stay one more night in
jail but he proved the speculations wrong when he emerged into the free world at 8:35 this morning.
Weezy was released early due to good behavior. His friend Mack Maine, president of Young Money Entertainment,
told MTV that he has brought some of those good habits with him after leaving prison.
"As far as a change, he's reading more. Before, he didn't really read a lot. He would rather watch it on a
movie or something or watch it on television," said Mack Maine.
Mack Maine has also been planning a party in Lil Wayne’s honor that will be thrown in Miami this Sunday. He has
already dropped his first tweet that read, “aaaahhhhmmmmmm baaaacckkkkkkk”. Tweets of joy soon filled the Twitter
community.
