Hood Prep Clothing Begins Global Fashion Push

Hood Prep clothing is finally catching the attention of hip hop clothing fans everywhere, and
it’s about time. The New Orleans based fashion line is making large strides and they are
coming up in the fashion industry fast. Started by two brothers with a dream,
Hood Prep clothing has come a long way in the last six years.
“Hood Prep is one of my favorite hip hop clothing brands of today. Their designs are all
about motivation and deeper philosophies, yet extremely creative, so it kind of makes
sense how creative the streetwear brand is. I try to be the first one to wear their
clothing,” say rapper C.KHiD about Hood Prep clothing.
Hip hop music artists are not the only ones who are catching on to the Hood Prep clothing
craze. The United States Olympic Badminton team and Alistair Casey, who is the number one
badminton player in the United Kingdom, also wear Hood Prep clothing. People everywhere
love their clothing because it is original, culturally influenced, unique, and extremely
fashionable. The label not only displays the unique style of the local
New Orleans urban community but it makes a fashion statement. The founders of
Hood Prep clothing, Alfonzo and Troy Bolden, were inspired creatively by the trends
they observed in New Orleans in the late 80’s and 90’s. In 2004, they began distributing
to select streetwear boutiques, and since then have been successful with their
Dream Collection, as well as, with the Formula Collection. Buyers are now anxious for the
release of the new spring 2011 collection next year.
Over the last six years Hood Prep clothing has done very well distributing their
previous collections through different boutiques and a few online stores. The line’s
popularity is now spreading nationwide and internationally. Hood Prep clothing is
characterized by abstract and creative designs influenced by life in New Orleans.
Graphic tees from the Dream Collection are a consumer favorite. However, Hood Prep
is not all tees, they also create everything from oxford’s to polo’s and much more.
