Miami Heat continue to ascend at the top of the Eastern Conference through the magnificent performances of LeBron James. Willing to do everything for the Heat, James played with such desire to deliver the necessary blows in the last four games in which they won.
Sunday afternoon will be a different story unless James will play. James status over the visiting Chicago Bulls is currently a game-time decision. He was hit at the nose by Serge Ibaka of the Oklahma City Thunder Thurday night that pushed him inside the locker room for the remainder of the game with six minutes left. He was about to dunked the ball as he evaded Ibaka yet he was touched hard that blood was coming out of his nose.
The Heat relied on the offensive all-around game of James in the previous years. But it’s not clear if James will be in uniform in this game. And if he plays, he might be wearing a mask to avoid any possible hit.
Miami is considered to be the best team in the league because of the high-powered offense which James is the anchor. Without James, it will be impossible for the Heat to stage up a victory for it would take some time for the adjustments.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are riding in a five-game winning streak that their momentum can beat the James-less Heat. Chicago has one of the best defenses in the NBA and that this defense can tame the offense of the Heat.
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau understands the importance of this game as the team is seeking to be part of playoffs. His defensive style is to be tested over the rampaging offense of the Heat.
Center Carlos Boozer is up to the task to take advantage of his strength probably against Christ Bosh. Boozer averages 14.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game to extensively be a threat against Miami’s defense.
