From a viral Youtube video to a $2 million dollar recording contract, to grabbing Rihanna's rump on
live television, A$AP Rocky has been making headlines. Now the Harlem-Manhattan rap star has a
reward for all his daring ways & hard work. While older rappers can take shots at his fashion
style, it's the A$AP Mob leader who gets the last laugh as Billboard says he has the #1 album
next week.
"I Love Bad B*tches That's My F**kin Problem," is what's
said on the newest A$AP Rocky song. The ode & anthem of many empowered men, it's about to become
an even realer issue for young Rakim after next week. The single leads the way to a slot
few new artists can claim. Featuring other Hip-hop heavyweights, 2 Chainz, Drake, & Kendrick Lamar,
the single is a prime example of the new rap generation taking over.
Expected to close the week with around 130,000 sale, ASAP Rocky's "Long.Live.A$AP" album will be
#1 on billboard. He will be the first artist from Harlem to have a #1 album since rapper
Cam'ron and his crew "Dip Set".
A$AP ROcky's exploded onto the Hip-Hop scene in late 2010 / early 2011 with his rap songs
"Pe$o" and
"Purple Swag". Each video now has over 20 million views. Though numbers are inflated
according to recent on-line reports, the A.S.A.P. mob leader's still conquering the new music scene of 2013.
